This is before the Eagle was converted for residential use. Note the western wall before additional windows were punched through.

Note the weeds in what is now a dirt path with fencing alongside the building. Also, look for the shed in the distance, near the point where the Jay Street Connecting Railroad fanned out to deliver the coffee, sugar, tobacco, and other commodities to nearby warehouses and factories. See this 1946 photo taken from the Brooklyn Bridge for an aerial view of what Empire Fulton Ferry State Park looked like back then!
